OUR HUNTS

BigHorn Sheep

Come hunt Bighorn Rams in Alberta’s Famous Archery only Area. Canmore’s zone 410 is located just east of Banff National Park and is a

prime winter range for Sheep, Elk and Deer. There is an excellent population of ewes and lambs in the area. Each fall Rams migrate into the 410 zone from the surrounding parks and wild land areas. We have been guiding hunters in this zone since 1975, with a very high success rate. This is a 14 day hunt, we offer two hunt dates in November.

First hunt dates are:

Nov. 2nd to Nov. 16th 2017

Second hunt dates are:

Nov.17th to Nov. 30th 2017

**You can Fly into Calgary Airport and we offer pickup at the Calgary YYC Airport and transportation to Canmore and return.

Our camps are wall tents with wood heaters and cots to sleep on. We do have a couple spots that we backpack into and stay in backpack

tents. The hikes into our camps vary from 2 to 6 hours. The Temperature can vary from-20F to as warm as 45F in the day time.

Use a warm sleeping bag that is rated for -20F or -30F, and for added comfort use a thermarest pad under your sleeping bag.

Dressing in layers is a must for this hunt. This is a very physical hunt with a lot of hiking and then a lot of time spent spotting and waiting for

opportunities. We have excellent Archery Bighorn Sheep guides for this hunt that take great pride in locating and stalking close to the Rams.

Guides will cape out your ram and help prepare the horns and cape for your transportation home.

All harvested Bighorn Rams have to be registered at the Alberta Fish and Wildlife office, in person. They will measure and plug your Ram

with an ID number for registration of your Bighorn Sheep. You will also receive an export paper for your Ram so you can take your trophy

home with you. It works best if the client carries the horns and cape home with them at the end of the hunt.

Mule Deer & Elk

Calgary Airport. We stay in ranch cabins with power and showers, for your comfort. We hunt on private ranch land, forestry and in a wildlands area. Our hunting is a combination of horseback and walking through these great Mule Deer areas.

The areas we hunt have a great population of Mule Deer and we harvest some outstanding Bucks each year. The Bucks range in size

from 160 to 200 B&C points.

The November rut hunt can be combined with an Elk hunt. This area is a great winter range and has produced some very nice Elk. Bull size range from 250 to 300 B&C points. Weather can be quite cool ranging from -20f to 45f. in the day time.
